1. Where did some of the oldest land on earth come from? 
Somewhere

2. Volcanoes are formed when hot molten rock finds its way to the surface.

3. Name on thing that volcanoes can do to the surrounding environment when they erupt (Like Mt St. Helens) 
It can blow down forests in a matter of hours

4. Do all volcanoes explode when they erupt? Explain 
Not all volcanoes erupt some volcanoes at over thousands degrees celsius will come out of earth creating new land 

5. Where does the fiery rock that erupts from a volcano come from? 
It comes from the earth's interior

6. Where do volcanoes usually occur? 
It happens where two tectonic plates run into each other

7. How did the Hawaiian island form? Be specific (don’t just say volcanoes)
      The Hawaiian Island was formed and created by volcanoes when they would erupt                                                   
      underwater and would create surface.  

8. Volcanoes erupt because there are Gasses trapped in the magma deep inside the earth. 
So when those gases get hot enough they expand and explode.

9. The volcano’s cinder cone down in its crater lets lava under pressure vent to the surface.

10.  The lava flows downhill  in channels.

11.  When volcanoes stop erupting they sometimes form a bowl in the middle called a caldera.

14.  What is a dormant volcano? 
A dormant volcano is a volcano that does not erupt but is active and is one that hasn't erupted in 10,000 years. 

15.  What is an active volcano? An active volcano is a volcano that has at least erupted once during the past 10,000 years and is supposed to erupt again.

16.  Why shouldn’t you ‘go chasing lava flows’? Because it comes from a volcano and because you just shouldn't
